    What are Test scripts

    Hi,

Could anyone help me in understanding what are test scripts in manual testing. If test scripts are generated automatically For eg QTP uses VBScript for scripting, how are manual scripts written. What role do they play in a testing process. im new to this field and your answers would be helpful

    Re: What are Test scripts

Test scripts is a set of instructions that form a test program to test whether the system performs as expected. We use the term test script in reference to the test instruction utilized along with automated test tools.
The test script for manual testing is referred as test cases.
A test case is usually a single step, or occasionally a sequence of steps, to test the correct behaviour/functionalities, features of an application. An expected result or expected outcome is usually given.
