u can apply flat files in mapplet,u can't use xml files in mapplet

data is maintaind in centrally located fact tables.fact tables are centrally located and sorrounded by dimension tables

click on source anlyger,then u can select source menu,there u can see import from xml file.u can import from there before that u need to create xml file.
