Bug Tracking:
The responsibility of a tester is to find defects as soon as possible and see that they are fixed.
As soon as you find defects you have to inform the developers that defects are found.In that process you have to document or track down the defects which you found means
1.The Defect Id
2.The Defect's Priority
3.The Defect's Severity
4.When it got found (Date and Time)
5.Who found that.
This is nothing but "Bug Tracking"
Please correct me if i am wrong....

Krishna has specified the process of Bug Logging or Defect Logging. We log a defect / Bug found along with details describing the defect.
Bug Tracking actually would imply the process of keeping a watch on the status of the bug since its opened to till the stage where it is closed.
As we know, the Bug life cycle is as depicted below -
New - Open - Assigned - Fixed - Re-tested and Closed.
New - Open - Assigned - Fixed - Re-tested and Reopened.
New - Open - Assigned - Deffered.
A bug can follow any of the path depicted above as part of its life cycle. The process of keeping a track of the Bug status at every stage is called as "BUG TRACKING".
We have tools like Bugzilla, JIRA etc which are exclusive Bug tracking tools. QC a Test Management tool also has a inbuilt tab to handle Bug tracking.

BTS is a tool that helps keep a track/follow-up on all the defects encountered and record all the developments happening on defects.
Although there are many tools for BTS, Bugzilla & Quality Center are the most used ones.
