How to pass data in QC for scripts we execute in Test Lab??

Folks !!! Can anyone tell me if im wrong in saying that data is uploaded in QC or passed to BPT through Datasheets(Excel) or thru runtime parameters specified in Test Lab..

Pls help me clearing this doubt :confused:

jus create a .ini file to initialize the folder..
dawnload the data ..or target file(if possible)
now do operation on the files and folders specified in the initialization folder
upload it

I want to pass data(eg 10 records) to my Atomated Business components..How do I do that before running in Test Lab??

Yes..the answare is to follow the following steps..understand the logic....

1.the test will be conducted in a specific machine(i mean the address you will be giving through QC)
2.after initializing the QTP....now the testlab will pass the scripts to the machine for a run.
3.Now before the script run ..make sure qc passes an .ini file which will prepare a folder in c/d drive and download the desired datatable to the folder.

4.now running of the script resume

if you go to test lab ,you willl find a column named "Iterations".
Click it.
In the iterations screen you will have a button import click it. and browse your file(file having 100 records ).file should be in csv format.

then u will get a screen in whcih ucan map the columns to ur defined run time parameters of test set.


then go ahead for running the test.....
