We are upgrading from QC 9.0 to QC 9.2. Can any one help me to tell how I can take Backup of projects from QC Server and also any tips on how to upgrade from 9.0 to 9.2. Any experiences are highly appretiated.

There is an KB article on Mercury support site about it. You need to take help of your DBA for project backup and while doing the installation of QC 9.2 go through the installation manual carefully.
