Data structure with C in Real Time Applications

What is the application of data structure and c together in real time applications? I am surprised how trees, stacks and so on apply in C language in real time applications.

There is lot of advantageous of data structures and in fact the real programming is based around data structures only. To sight a instance for you say games programming in C require lot of features like graphics abilities, hardware, software and so on. And one of the main aspects to be achieved in games programming is to achieve speed in games programming. To achieve this speed good techniques and features of data structure must be applied while programming. Also to achieve efficiency which is the main feature of any program good data structure techniques and features must be applied.

Data structures are very much important in Kernel development. Simple example would be stack what we say where local variables get stores is implemented with data structures.. Even the Buffers are maintained in the double linked list..
As already said it makes the data access fast and also allows to create or add items at runtime.

Data Structures plays vital roll in real world applications. In OS process management we use different scheduling schemes, in those there is imp roll of these data structures. we have different file systems like ext2,ext3 etc, to maintain these also we use data structures,(superblock-double linked lists), in task management also we use these data structures. These are few what we know. So Data Structures are very important.
