Which Offer i have to choose?.

I am a software professional having 2 years of experience in asp.net programming (c#).i am now having 3 new job offers. Salary in all offers are same. Offer a - position: senior software eng applications - mobile applications, web2.0, b2b, web portals.. Technology - most of the projects will be on j2ee, j2me, some windows ce/dotnet apps, php, but i may need to work on anything that works offer b - position: team lead application - products for human resource recruitment technology - .net 3.5, c#, wcf, soa architecture, nhibernate. Offer c - position: team lead application - products for human resource recruitment technology - .net 2.0, c#, soa architecture. My long term goal is to become a technical architect. Which offer i have to choose?. In yahoo answer, everbody advised me to choose offer a. My concern is if i choose offer a, i have to work all technologies at the same time. I cann't master one technology. Job opportunities concern only how many years of experience on one technology you have. If i like to become technical architect, which offer i have to choose?.

    Hi,

My suggestion would be to go for option A. The reasons are :

    1. Working on technologies like J2ME will give your career an uplift. You will stand distinct in a crowd.
    2. Pay wise, you will be paid better than your other counterparts in J2EE bcoz its still a rare skill in the market to get.
    3. And to grow as an architect, you need to have few more years of sound developmental experience than work as a team lead.

    Cheers,
    San

My concern is if i choose offer a, i have to work all technologies at the same time. I cann't master one technology. i feel that i am having 2 years exp. so there are so many things in .net i haven't learned and implemented in projects. To become TA, we have to come through same technology and master that. am i correct? or am i wrong?

    hi,

if you believe you can't master any techology if you choose then dont choose it, because what you think is what you get, if you think you cant do it you can never do it, but if you think , i got a chance to get knowledge on different technologies, but i will definately master one of them then go for it. Decision is in your hands. Its easy to advice, but its you who have to take the decision. so, believe in yourself.

    Thanks

    Hi,

dear choose option A. Because technology changed overnight. So if you have experience in multiple technology you are secure you career. You can adjust in any technology and start your own work from elance, rentacoder, scriptlance etc.

So don't think you can't do this. If man decide to do anything he will do.

So please move forward and jump to uplift your career.

    Dear Friend,

u wont be doing coding for the whole of your career. At some point of time the template that were trained in at the start of your career might get outdated in 6 or 7 years but your mindset will be aligned to the old stuff itself. Whatever be the case we will not feel like absorbing the new tech. So try out software consulting and specialise in one tool or package as you said rather than going behind everything. You need to make a choice considering the current branding of the product and the frequency at which they update the patches.

Hope this will help you to come to a conclusion.
