you can use ping command for that if the response will come then the ip address is correct else incorrect

Go to Command Prompt and use the ping command along with the specified IP address.

Incase it is a valid one - message ** packets of data received would be displayed.

Incase it displays request timed out or Unable to connect, then either the specified IP address is incorrect or there is a problem with connection.
