Idea to answer an interview question

Recently I faced an interview in which I was posed a question by the interviewer namely what are the things that I have learnt from my mistakes. Though I answered, I was not satisfied with the answer I gave. I want to know what is the approach one has to use while answering this question. A tip on this would help me face my next interview.

Learning is a continuous process and one can achieve the process only by making mistakes. If a person has not done may mistake it means that he has not taken any challenge or risk. But the thing I have learnt from my mistakes is to never do the same mistake again. So the main idea is everybody is bound to make mistakes but what is vital is we must learn to analyze the mistakes done and make it a point not to repeat it again.

Agree with Remasri.... Please tell them "Learning without mistakes would not be a good learnt" so simply to say "with my mistakes i've learnt what are corrective things to do"

Here are some answers about your question.

I think one of the most important things I've learned is persistence.
Not to give up too soon, because the solution is probably right in front of me.
I have learned to give every person a second chance. That first impressions can often be misleading.
I used to think that there was one best solution to a problem, but I've learned that that kind of thinking limits the possibility of great success.

You have to be positive n your attitude and confidence.
You have to say what you mean to, you cant say anything just like that. If you don't understand the question you can ask them to repeat again and you can not give answer then just say you don't know but don't lie.

Great you all have given nice tips , Be confident , don't lie in your resume and while giving an answer in the interview,
all are nervous at time of interview and all HR and interviewer knows it but how you handle that nervousness is very important.

There is always one solution for the problem same there is always atleast one answer for every question.
Its ok if you dont know the answer or any question , we get nervous we couldn't give answer at time of interview.
We should not show that nervousness. we should maintain our positive attitude.
