Now a days, software companies are looking for Bsc graduates too for testing.
and some other companies for development.
you are having a good career oppurtunity.
but you should have minimum 60% percentage by overall.
concentrate more on your studies vishakha.
    All the best.

    hi vishaka

Its true that componies do look for B.SC graduates, also CS is an excellent choice. So u need not worry abt that! Also while writing posts here ,u need not worry( its my prediction that u are bit worried, with number of "sir's " u r using),since every one is here to help others.

Also ur percentage in 12th may creat some problem. But u need not b discouraged abt it.Also complete ur B.sC well (more than 60% atleast).

the problem to the 12th percentage can b sorted out later. So concentrate on ur B.sc exams!

    bye

Don't feel about anything. Work hard. Strong in any one of the area.

I am getting 45% only in my first year BSc. Finally i got 63.5%. Try to improve your spoken skills...that is the main thing in this software field. Lot's of people having somuch of knowledge but they are not well in english.

    Think positive and get positive....

Re: Career Guidance for BSc Computer Science Student

    Hello Sir,
I just read one of your reply from Career Guidance for BCompSc Student in this site,
and by reading, the way you wrote shows me that you would have alot of experience, and might also would be an expert about guidance of computer career. By the way you replied also shows me that you are kind and you would definitely help me too.

Sir, I am going to study 12th(higher secondary) in India(TamilNadu). Because of my family situation and my older age I needed to join 12th directly after completed 10th(SSLC). Which means, I am a direct private student, and there in school, I will not have option for group selection. I can only study 3rd group(Business group), and even there might not be computer subject too.
I am naturally smart at studies and I know I can study anything even Physics or chemistry.., but because of my family & my older age, I needed to study as private candidates as I said above...

My question is whether if I could choose computer related as my Undergraduate degree(Bachelor degree).??? I needed to know whether, would colleges or universities allow me to enroll.???
For Example courses like(BSc or BS) in Computer Science.??? I know that, if I choose engineering program it would be impossible for me to enroll. I just wanted to get through Bachelor of computer science career because it is one of high paying bachelor career after engineering.. I do not know much about India's education, because I am a Thai.
Sir, and if I was able to enroll what are the course would you suggest me to join.???
I am interested in computer related field. and whether could I even join(BSc IT)???
Sir, and also there are many course like BSE(CS)... is this course for engineering??, if I choose(BSc CS) does this worth as Bachelor of computer science.???

I hope you did knew my situation and also hope that you would kindly and frankly reply my questions. Please reply and suggest me the best as you can to lead through computer science career!! I hope you would do. so I spent many minutes by typing these much passages
I would be kindly THANKING YOU in advance.

God might bless you for your kind heart! ^_^

Re: Career Guidance for BSc Computer Science Student

I gave HS this year.... i got 66% in all 6 subjects...and got 75% in top 5 subjects....i did maths bad... i got 40 there.....dont know what happened.. whatever, i have a great attraction in Computer science since class 2...i got 90 in this subject....i am now in a dilemma as to what to choose.... some are saying opt for B.Sc and some are suggesting BCA.... i dont know what would be better.. is it better to get a graduation in CS and then do BCA MCA??? i think doing just a diploma is just not enough... is it right or wrong???? i will just do in CS and nothing else.... thats the only where i can do good... i, by the way, dont want to do a course that might give me just a Rs 5000-6000 job... please help me... and also i have an option, should i learn ethical hacking also?? some say that if i am good in that then i will get good job in any company.. plz help.....
