We are migrating reports from 6.5 to XIR2. Is there any specific procedure for testing the reports after migrating from 6.5 to XIR2?

the checklist are given below functionality to be tested refresh both 5.x and webi report before proceeding sql check open teradata sql assistant from start menu connect to the relevant database bo 5 query minus bo xi webi query bo xi webi query minus bo 5 query. Universe based report data provider count and name navigate to data -> view data -> definition tab and verify the following universe name automatic refresh check box and the schedule date and time linking of data providers quey panel select objects count and names - including sort order where clause unions if any - verify select and where clause subquery (if any) - verify select and where clause navigate to scope of analysis and verify the hierarchy verify for user objects the following (if any) - name, description, type, qualification and formula query panel -query options "navigate to options in query panel and verify the following " partial results and duplication of rows do not retrieve data and delete trailing blanks (check box) report refresh prompts (if any) prompt count and name verify the availability of values for prompts if values button is enabled number of tabs in the report for each tab check the following page set up navigate to file - page setup click on margins button and verify thetop, bottom, left and right margin spacing orientation - landscape/portrait paper size and source adjust % report format header count of headers and header names cell format right click on each cell and navigate to format cell and verify the following "category and format of data displayed e.g. Date - ""mm-dd-yyyy""" also verify the positive, negative, equal to zero and undefined properties along with read as html checkbox alignment - horizontal (indent incase of left alignment), vertical, wrap text, row by row autofit, repeat on every page and fill font, font style, size and color borders if any foreground and background color- shading name of the cell horizontal and vertical position width and height of cell verify for hide cell check box if any and check for formula slice and dice navigate to analysis - slice and dice -> section pane count of section, its names and order sort order of each object navigate to analysis - slice and dice -> block structure count of objects, its names and sort order check for calculation (sum, count, average etc) section (if any) click on a cell or table under section and navigate to format -> section and verify the following start on new page, avoid page break in block, hide section header and its formula, hide section footer and its formula shading -> foreground and background color breaks (if any) navigate to format -> breaks and count the number of breaks, click on each break and check on the following in break defintion -> break header, break footer, remove duplicates, fold and value based break in break and pages - > avoid page break, start a new page, repeat the header on the new page and repeat break value on new page filters (if any) navigate to format -> filters and verify the following for both global and table level filters "select each filter and validate: values filtered in values pane click on define and validate the formula" sort (if any) select each column and navigate to format -> sort -> verify sort order or custom sort rank (if any) select each column and navigate to format -> ranking -> verify the following top and bottom selection criteria based on the dimension selected and the percentage of total number of values display subtotals and display percentages (check box) alerters select each column and navigate to format -> alerters -> verify the name, description and the condition (formula, font text color etc) hierarchies navigate to analysis -> hierarchies -> available hierarchies and verify the count and name of dimensions drill right click on the column of a table and verify the drill level (if any) format table navigate to format -> table -> verify each option in following tabs general ( avoid duplicate rows aggregation etc) page layout (start on a new page, avoid page break in block etc) pivot (verify for hidden columns) border shading appearance (hide block, formula option etc) footer count of footers, footer names and cell format. Print save both the reports (5.x and webi xi) as pdf and compare using print out chart type of chart,heading position,flow of graph navigate -> properties and check the following options x axis label y axis label scale of x and y axis number formats for x and y axis palette colour legend position show floor
