Multiple SQL Servers

Hi, I hope someone can provide me with an answer to this.

I have 4 data collection centres across Europe inputting live data into our SQL server hosted in the UK. The problem I have is when one of the data collection centres goes offline we have an issue of getting the live data into the SQL database.

I am wondering if it is possible for each data collection centre to have their own SQL server hosted on their LAN and that server sends and receives live updates from the master server hosted in the UK. If the Internet goes down at the local offices then the operators can still input data and when they come back online the server in the UK automatically updates and then updates our client websites accordingly.

Many thanks,
Neil
