How to store an automated number generated in an ERP?

Hi,

I am using Rational robot. My script creates new Contract/Project whenever it is run. I want to know how can I store that automated number each time the same script is run.
I tried using Object data verification point but it will not run because it will store the value that I selected while running the script for the first time.
