I am sure all members of this forum (and also guests) agree that, English has been the world's local language over the decades.
![]() Even after having drafted letters/mails, communicated matters and sung songs etc in English almost all our lives, we still know that we would have a lot of words (from ever growing dictionaries both in size and number) that we never encountered. ![]() Here is a chance to learn as many of them as possible. So, get going. All that is being looked for is… One Word Each Day from Every Member. I thank you all in advance.

Its called Ganja in Hindi.

Plethora - Superabundance (or) in Excess of something.
Eg. : I had a plethora of advices when I told my friends that I am getting married.

Eloquent - Fluent, Elegant, Well-Expressed.
Usage : The testcase description seemed eloquent in terms of Language suggesting it was developed by a person well accquainted with testing. Cheers.....

Misnormer - Misnaming of a person or thing. Also a wrong or inapplicable name or designation. Eg.: Apes are misnormerly called as monkeys.

Feud - A state of enimity (or dushmani in Hindi) between 2 families/groups that lasts for a long time (even years or generations). Also, a bitter quarrel between 2individuals/groups for a long time.

Acerbic - Hearting/insulting with expressions/tone or by showing temper.
Eg.: The teacher's acerbic oneliner made students walkout of the class room.

Kismet - (very much the same meaning as in Hindi for Kismat) Destiny or Fate.
But the origine of the work 'Kismet' is Arabic 'Qismah'. Surprising isn't it?
