Word of the Day

I am sure all members of this forum (and also guests) agree that, English has been the world's local language over the decades.

Even after having drafted letters/mails, communicated matters and sung songs etc in English almost all our lives, we still know that we would have a lot of words (from ever growing dictionaries both in size and number) that we never encountered.

Here is a chance to learn as many of them as possible.

So, get going.

All that is being looked for is… One Word Each Day from Every Member.

I thank you all in advance.

Kismet - (very much the same meaning as in Hindi for Kismat) Destiny or Fate.

But the origine of the work 'Kismet' is Arabic 'Qismah'.

Surprising isn't it?
