What should be done for an application which is not consistent during testing (suppose it satisfies test condition first/few times and fail in second/repeated testing) what kind of testing is done to identify whether the application is consistent or not and what to do when an application is less consistent!!!

Re: What to do when a testing application is not consistent

Consistency of the s/w is tested in Reliability Testing.

What to do from testing side when the application is behaving in-consistently is... to provide following details from the test team side both when the tests fail and when they pass...

screenshots, date & time of the test run, information about what other applications/processes were running, configuration of the system on which the tests were run and may be some information from Performance and Network tabs of Windows Task Manager if required.

Hi,

Whenever you find the above situation.
Clearly explain the behavior of how application is responding.
Take the screenshots before and after applications functionality and the do mention the comments clearly.

NO,

We should NOT stop testing.

Moreover, we should test more and more into the application working with each screen, each option atleast a couple of times and see if it is behaving inconsistently.
