Re: Conversion of QTP script in to Loadrunner script
Hi,
from your post it is not clear whether you know how to do it or not ![]() I think Mercury has published a KBA on this, I can't find it now since Mercury was acquired by HP. Generally, the steps would be to run your QTP script while LoadRunner Vugen records the process launched by QTP. sorry for not being able to supply a more detailed solution. I suggest you try look for this knowledge base article and once you find publish the link in here shlomini |

Re: Conversion of QTP script in to Loadrunner script
There is no need to convert qtp scripts to lr script to do load testing (i also have doubt if we can convert it) 1) open a lr and design one scenario 2) while designing select test type "quick type tests" in test type option 3) navigate to path where your qtp scripts are stored and lr will show qtp scripts in respective folder 4) run that scripts in controller as you run normal lr script limitations: you can maximum run 1 user/controller as it is gui script solution: use terminal server which will allow multiple session at a single instance to run multiple script using single controller

Re: Conversion of QTP script in to Loadrunner script
When you try to select any script while designing scenario, LR will ask you to what type of file it is.
If you want to select QTP script then select "Test Type" as Quick Tests. then only LR will allow you to select that file |

Re: Conversion of QTP script in to Loadrunner script
hi,
as we are using vb script in qtp, we can run qt script in LR also, since LR supports vb script, java script and ansi c. Then there is nothing to conversion.Just browse your qtp script into lr controller and run the scenario for 1 user, since controller allows 1 user for gui script. If u want to run morethan 1 user go for other servers like terminal or RTE. |
