Hi,
Citrix protocol is meant for recording business flows that includes accessing first to a citrix server and then conducting some kind of business flow, while HTML protocol was designed for recording web based applications. I would suggest you google for "Citrix deployment architecture" or something like that. This will lead you to better understand of what Citrix is and when to use it. BTW: when LoadRunner records Citrix, it actually keeps images while in HTML it keeps the HTML source files. I hope it helps, shlomini
