Component Interface

I am trying for change but every time interviewer asked me Do you have work exp abt CI,
I didn't get chance to work over on it and anable to search proper ans and details about CI
If any one haveing details please post that ans..

how can we get data from external database into peoplesoft database using component interface. Is this possible.
