Change my technology from .Net to Java

How can I change my technology from .Net to Java?

I have nearly 1 year and 3 months of experience in .NET technology. Before that I did CDAC where all langauges was being taught. But in campus I got the this job. I always wanted to work in java as I think I have java-j2ee skills more than C# and asp.net even now. Now I want to shift form .NET to java. I cant do this in my current company as it is working only on .NET. So How can I shift?

    I have 2 options:
    1. Start searching job in java for fresher and start from initial stage. In this case, my designation gets demoted and my package become less...

    2. Start showing the current experience in java and then search for the job. And side by side, prepare well for the java interviews and do SCJP. In this case, Is it possible that the new company do an enquiry about the technology worked in in previus company? Is it safe? OR if you have any other way plzz tell me
