C++, Call another C++ program

I have two complied C++ programs,

i would like to call one program from the other.
i have tried system("PGM=Program_name,PARM='some stuff'");

and system("call 'program_name' 'arg1' 'arg2'");
but it doesnt start.

any help would be great
