Is it necessary to join institute

Is it necessary to join some institute for doing SAP. Is it possible I get all sorts of knowledge from Internet, Friends doing SAP etc. and appear in an on-line examination. I am sure, I can get it cleared. But tell me is it possible?

No not at all. But it is always better to have some one by your side when there is some problem or u are strick some where.
