I am recording desktop application (Flight reservation) ...am able to view the objects in the Key word view but couldnt view the application in the active area..

Just try to record an web application and I am sure that you will see your application screen shot in active screen.But why it's happening? I don't know, but I will find out the reason very soon and will tell everyone.

You just reply me what happen, when you record web application.According to my knowledge and experience Active screen will show you the application screen shot.

Are you sure that required Add In is loaded? You can check this from File --> Setting

In my Qtp Active Screen is not at all displayed from the begining itself.

Tools -> Options -> Click on "Restore Layout"

From Menu bar select

view>Active screen

If it not work, it may be the case than you have selected not to take snapshot of screen.

Check: tools>options>Active screen settings

Could you provide a snapshot of its current display?

Generally, if I lose my active screen, I just "restore layout" and it brings everything back to normal. I'm not sure why this is happening to you and this is also the first time I have heard of active screen not coming visible.

I am getting the same problem.

The tried the above solutions.

I record the web application, i activated the active screen and restore the layout setting also.

But still i am getting only black active screen only.

If anybody get the solution help me to overcome

How i send a snapshot here?

Active screen display blank only nothing inside that.

I reinstalled 3 times. but i didn't get.

Other systems its working fine. in my system its not working.

I dont know the actual reson

Apart from contacting Mercury/HP support, the only solution I can give you right now is to re-install your operating system (a brand-new install) but I don't know your company policy on that, so I can't be too sure if its possible.. Let me know how it works out. Good luck.

YOu know friends, I got the same problem in my real experience, when i try it on virtual computer and I am sure that it was the problem of virtual image(operating system) , so i am agree with Anshoo, it may be the problem of operating system also.

Project: Desktop Application (Music Player), Lanuage - .net .

Problem:

Active screen is not display my project screenshot but is display the screen shot for which i opened in my desktop but its point out the same location which one used on my project....

Could you tell me the reason and how i have to solve this ....

hi i am able to view the screenshots of the web page if i record automatically. but when i record using step generator i am not able to see screeenshot in the active screen.. can any one pls help me with this.
