I have a data in excel sheet, I need to know how to create a cube in powerplay transformer to develop the report from my excel sheet.

Best way to create cub with excell is.. first create a table in db with the same columns of excell and define the proper datatypes and import the excell data to the db.

Now use the db as ur source and create the cube

There is yet another way....
you can save the excelsheet as CSV file.
Cognos Transformer supports CSV files as source. you can directly read the data from CSV file & start building your dimensions & facts.

while adding new data source, you can select CSV files.
this will help you in eliminating double work of DB conversion & then mapping.
