    What is the next step to restore the data?

    If the data were completely removed from datawarehouse, what is the next step to be done to restore the data?

    You are telling that completely removed, so there is no back up expected then Start refilling it record by record by using same sources and targets.

    @Saurav -

    As you told, unfortunately the data which was there in the Data warehouse was lost.

    All the companies (officially I am representing this), will be having a backup on daily basis/hourly basis (if their biz is critical) on the other server. So if this happens, they will get the complete data back within hours.

    Some companies will not maintain the data (all the previous), in this case they have adopted to have this data in the source system, but all the thing in this scenario is to process the complete data into Data Warehouse again.

    @Sriram -

    Please advise in a proper way. Dont go beyond the user.
    Donot go for posts. go fin a way to help others. Donot feel bad

    I am not groaning you (as per geek database), but feel that you got a groan for this post.

    There are so many ways for getting a back up of the data. Some will store data in the form of tapes, may more.
    No company want to lose their total biz. Hope you got waht I am saying exactly.
