Does Test Plan comes under verifaction or validation

Test Plan is a tool/ document, following which we do verification and validation.It's just a planning document not any verification or validation.

YES !!! Good Answer. It neither belongs to Validation nor Verification

Test Plan is a Document which is prepared by the Test Lead according to requirements of the user and test stratagy document is prepared by PL.

Verification: Verification involves reviews and meetings to evaluate documents (Test plan, Test Stratage anything which is in written form), code, requirements and specifications. It can be done with check lists, issues lists, inspections, walkthroughs.

Validation: To validate the system against the requirements apart from this validation involves unit testing which is done by developers/testers according to Low level design documents, integration testing which is done by developers/testers, Functional and system testing which is done by testers according to buiseness/s/w/users requirements and acceptence testing can be done with customers at customer site according to his requirements.

Test plan is prepared by Test Lead and will be reviewed by test manger.. So, it is verification and validation..
