What Happens in Operating System- Safe Mode

Hi,
We could often see that when window did not get shut down properly one would get the safe mode. But I am amazed about the fact how operating system switches this mode. In other words what changes inside the operating system will make it to switch to this mode.

Regards,
Norman

Re: What Happens in Operating System- Safe Mode

Windows boot on safe mode if the previous attempt failed to boot the system normally. As windows on safe mode will load only necessary device drivers, not process autoexec.bat & config.sys and use only standard VGA display driver there is a better chance to get windows loaded for trouble shooting.
