Types of JDBC Deriver Managers

Hi,
JDBC is a set of Java API for executing SQL statements. But to know in depth about this anyone help me by providing the details on various types of JDBC driver managers.

Some of the types of JDBC drivers are
Bridge drivers which may use Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) to communicate with a database
Drivers use a native API to communicate with a database system
Drivers use a networking protocol and middleware to communicate with a server
Java drivers which uses Java to implement a DBMS vendor networking protocol
