Well, this question doesn't contain enough information or depth in knowledge. SQL in general doesn't refer to any RDBMS. SQL is just a database programming language.
MySQL is RDBMS -agreed. MySQL is not a very professional database. It is yet to be proven in very High volume data management. And it is far too few feautures ompared to Oracle or MS SQL Server. And SQL Server is definitely far more advanced than MYSQL. MySQL finds its place as a cheap database for small/medium sized websites. It blends well with PHP. Cheers! Kalayama
