Procedure to record a test using TermInal emulator
Hi all, Is any one working in mainframe using QTP? I want to know about Termunal Emulator how it captures the screen shots in mainframe sessions,what the required properties we need to do intially with Termunal emulator. Can anyone respond, I have more questions to ask.
How to add properties of attamente extra Terminal Emulator. I added and opend the QTP as usual and started recording, when i run the test its not caputuring the screen shots of sesion in mainframe exactly the way it is but showing the improper values in the same window,and finally says object is not available. Can any one tell me wat is the main procedure to record a test using Terminal emulator please its very urgent Bhanu |

If anybody out there is working with QTP on Mainframes and using any kind of Terminal Emulators please respond in detail about how do we go about that process..!

1. Terminal Emulator is an Addin used to recognize Mainframe Screens/Dos Prompts....what ever is command promt to be generic...
2. You need to get the addin installed for your version of QTP, its available from HP, 3. Screen & Field's are the two controls that are recognized by this Addin 4. Hi,
My application is based on Terminal emulator. Could anyone guide how QTP will recognise different objects(fields). I tried to find the property using Object Spy but all objects have same properties. Can someone please reply to this question. Regards, Zareen |
