This is rather an ambiguous, by far a businee oriented question. Why should Microsoft worry if the MySQL Db is free or not??? Why should they even bother to use it in their products??? What will they achieve by doing so???

Kindly think befor you post a question and please read your question again after you post it. Check if it makes any sense or not.

Thanks,

Re: Why projects are not done using MySql

Well, sum microsystems went into open source world - alright. They made their own products as open source. Like SOLARIS and JAVA(Specification ).

Microsoft gives out free softwares like SQL Server 2005 Express Edition, Visual Studion Express edition, etc. Check our Microsoft site. They are into open source too. But of their own products.

In any case, SQL Server is far more superior to MySQL. Why should Microsoft use MySQL?

Cheers!
