when i am getting an application ,and i am said to proceed with qtp,what r the steps

when i am getting an application ,and i am said to proceed with qtp,what r the steps and actions i have to carry from starting to end of testing.


where i have to use checkpoints,regular expressions,actions,output values,recovery scenario ,batch test,recording modes,parameterization.

i need help especially for web based testing in qtp.

some real time testers or full knowledlged qtp ians please help me in taking any website as example and explain me.
i would be very grateful.

In web-based applications, the best thing is to go ahead with the creation time and regular expression.
You can either use Check Points or GetROProperty.
Parameterization & actions are up to you as per your convinience.
Recovery Scenario is most preferred.
Need not go for batch test. Coz batch test is required when you need to schedule some tests for later time
