sometimes windows xp has not dedected pen drive. what may be problem is it windows related problem or pen drive problem.

ther may be a problem with a pendrive....or it may have a virus in it
insert the pendrive and restart the system .....or else just put the pen drive in a system where it is detected and format it

when eject the pen drive safe or unplug the pendrive safe this problem may not arise.......you unplug the pendrive in the wrong so it happens...which system you unplug the wrong way..that system only detect the pendrive..

you may have some problem with ur usb.... or the pendrive might be loose, try the pendrive with other comps also. if u insert the pendrive and if it says unknown hardware that means ur usb drive is currpt or some problem with ur usb socket.....

p.s. sorry to say this but i never use unplug option, touch wood havnt got any problems with pendrive till now....

There is no option in 2003 server to block usb port to all client

how to block cd rome from group policy in 2003 server. pls replay me
