help me in finding out whether my guide telling truth or lie:

I visited an island. There were 2 tribes living on this island.The people on my east always tells lie. The west people always tell the truth.

i saw a guy passing. I asked my tour guide to ask that guy where he lives. The tour guide asked the guy and came back with the answer: he lives over west. Did my tour guide tell the truth or tell a lie?

Yes your guide tell the truth...

Because if the passing guy lived in east then he never told the answer i lived in east. because he always tell lie. so he told only he lives in west.
Also if the passing guy lived in west then he always told he lives in west. becuase he always tell truth.

So if you ask the question "where you live ?" then you always got the same answer from any passing guy...
