What would be the smallest number of children Hi, Every child in a family has at least 4 brothers and 4 sisters. What would be the smallest number of children the family might have ? Regards Nikhil Rattan

Re: What would be the smallest number of children The smallest number of boys will be 5 because each child has at least 4 brothers. (suppose, we are talking about Ram. Ram will also have at least 4 brothers. Thus, minimum number of boys will be 5.) Similarly, the smallest number of girl will be 5. Thus, the smallest number of children will be 10.

Re: What would be the smallest number of children But i think the minimum number will be 9...As ritesh said., If we consider Ram., he will ve 4 brothers and 4 sisters.That doesnt imply that one more girl child is required.ram himself can 've a sister.
