Interview is certainly not about talking as much as accomplishments and goals. It is how you talk that is important, How comfortable are you with putting across your thoughts, knowledge and convincing ability. You certainly need to know when to stop. Without this basic etiquette you are sure to get rejected.

I agree with Suji and Jimmy, you need to answer cleverly and confidently. You need not brag about yourself. Interviewers are experienced professionals and they can easily assess you from the way you communicate. Be prepared and answer them to the point precisely.

Re: Question of the Day : Job Interview - Good form of behavior

Thanks for all comments. Answer is False. Here is the justification for the answer in my view. Please add your coments .During a job interview, you should only answer the questions which are asked. Volunteering information is a bad idea, and you don't want to talk to much. The more you say, the more common you seem, and the more likely you are to make a mistake. To ace your job interviews, it is much better to take the path of some of the world's most powerful people:always say less than what is needed.

Actually ,it is not completely true or false, but when you feel that ,the answer given by you not satisfactory to the interviewer ,you can TALK as much as can, because it's the time to convince him/her.But when u answer it's very correctly, then you don't hav to do so.But whn required u hav to talk as much u can,but it shouldn't be the HABIT .

Hello Venu, Your are right . There will not be any correct answer when it comes to the career and management related questions as it varies from person to person. It's just personal opinion how you react for the situation.

During job interview I really do not think it is necessary to talk too much.
It might create a wrong impression on the Interviewer about you boasting too much. They might catch you in your own words.
So my advice is to be presice and talk only of those topics that you know. Do not bluff at all...

    Regards,
    Ash

    Hi,
Interview is not about talking a lot.Rather if you can elaborate things with few examples then it will be better.
Because that helps the interviewer in understanding the asnwer from a common man's point of view.
    I hope it helps.
