    QC error

    Hi,
    I am new to QC. just installed it. when i try to start qc with url
    http:// system-pc : 8080/qcbin/ it opens page with links to

    1. Quality Center
    2. Site Administration
    3. Add-Ins Page
    4. Readme
    when i click on Quality Center link following error displayed when i chrome browser:

    Below is the what appears when the browser opens...
    1.Click here to download Netscape 6 / Mozilla ActiveX plug-in (self-extract file)
    2.Unzip downloaded plug-in into browser plug-in directory.
    3.Restart the browser.

    if i use IE then error is following:

    Microsoft Internet Explorer : 4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.1; Trident/4.0; InfoPath.2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.0.04506.648; .NET CLR 3.5.21022) is not supported!


    I am using Win XP as operating System. i use Jboss as server.
    What is going wrong? Can some one please help me with this?

    Hi,

    You haven't mentioned your QC version and IE version. In genral QC9.x will not work with IE8. It suports IE7 and below. where as QC10 is compatible with IE8 having patch 2. Please check the system requirements in the QC Installation guide as all the QC versions will not support Win XP OS.

    Win XP operating system will not support to QC.Install windows 2000,2003 server or vista.
