    Which book to refer for Java as a beginner.
    What are the levels to cross like after Java, Core Java, J2ee...
    I am totally confused of these names?

    Please can you help me out in this....

    Go through the books..

    1) Java: the complete reference, seventh edition (osborne complete reference series) (paperback)

    2) Java: a beginner's guide, 4th ed., by herbert schildt

    3) java 7: a beginner's guide, fifth edition

    &&

    4) head first java, 2nd edition (paperback) by Kathy Sierra

    how about ur understanding of c and c++,
    based on these u can choose books.....
    since if u don't know them its also not an issue..
    there are books that teach u from basics....
