    Re: Manual testing

    Hi
I have found few answers for your questions. It may help you.
Q1 : write cross browser testing test scenarios and cases. At least 3.
The main objective of a Cross Browser testing is to test your web application behavior in various different browsers and in different operating systems. The display of the website differs when viewed in different browsers.
Q2 : how do you estimate your testing effort in your project ?
Testing estimation depends on the following points (these are my experiences), u can get more gyaan from others:
    1. Scope and objective
    2. Number of Modules involved
    3. Complexity of the application
    4. Number of resources
    5. Assumptions
    6. Time Limitations
    7. Availability of the tools
    8. If you foresee any risk, u can also add the risk factor and the time required to test
    9. Amount of complexity involved in integrating with other components
    10. Support
Q3 : what is the first document you prepare when you start testing. (According to me its test plans). Correct me if I am wrong.
    I think this is correct.
Q4 : what is state transition analysis in test design techniques.
State Transition analysis is nothing but to analyze the change of state from one form to another. One should be able to analyze the transitions which occurs in the real business world and which may not occur.
State Transition testing mainly focuses on testing of the transitions from one state to another (Eg. Open to closed account in a bank and vice versa).
Q5 : state transition analysis is a black box or white box testing technique.
State Transition testing is Black Box Testing
Q6: what is kick off phase in formal review.
     don’t know.
Q7: peer review having another name 1) technical review or formal review.
    Formal review
Q8 : what is the impact analysis and it effects mostly in which phase of SDLC. (according to me its in maintenance phase). Correct me if I am wrong.
If there is any change request or any enhancements done for the project, One should be able to test the same and analyze whether these changes/enhancements affects the existing functionality or not. If yes, what is the complexity of the impact?
The best way is one should be able to understand the impact as soon as they receive the Change Requests.
Q9 : how do you do security testing i.e. Session hijacking and session prediction while testing of an application.
No idea, let me know if u get any answers
Q10 : how do you convince your management for a automated functional testing tool.
Ahhhh!! This needs a big explanation but, if u want to convince them, then u need to prepared ppt which describes the main features of the tool and how effective it is in testing ur project, what is the time saved, how many manual efforts will be reduced and in how many days we can complete the testing etc…..
    The main features are:
    1. Total Time Saved
    2. Cost
I hope this may answer ur question.
Q11: how do you define strategy or mechanism if requirements are changing in your projects? Is there any separate document for the same or not.
No idea, let me know if u get any answers
Q12 : what is content management testing and how to do the same in testing of a websites?
    Swear I don't have any idea 

    Dear friend,

If there is one single question per thread then we can discuss that particular question until and unless we are clear but in this case it is not possible.

    Thanks,
    Deepa
