While writing the code for map definition field in dfhmdf , you need to give the parameter attribute (attrb) information like attrb=(unprot,ic) , at the required position where we need exactly.and for the visibility purpose apply any colours to the cursor like color=blue in the same map definition field dfhmdf finally there is a example : dfhmdf pos=(14,23),attrb=(prot),length=14, x initial='select option',color=pink con dfhmdf pos=(14,38),attrb=(unprot,ic),length=1, x initial='_',color=blue here con is for input and x is for continution. So while issueing a receive map command , dont bother about cursor, according to the user requirement we can place it in the map definition field. Thanku
