Informatica Target Update Performance Improvement

Hi all,
I am writing a mapping which will pull out data from database, do modification (simple modification using expression) and update the same table. Expected number of records to be updated is 2 millions.

The source table doesn't have primary key, but it has an id column which was indexed. I used target session parameter of update as update.

I found the throughput of the process is way too low, it starts with 1000 records/second but keep decreasing until less than 10 records/seconds. I wonder how to improve this throughput considering the amount of data to be processed.

Regards,
st_laurent

Re: Informatica Target Update Performance Improvement

Disable the index while updating and rebuild the same after the update process is over.
