Hi Friends,

Quick Linux Tip::

Change Your MAC Address in linux

If you wish to change your MAC address in Linux, all u have to do is bring the interface down then use the hw ether switch:

ifconfig eth0 down
ifconfig eth0 hw ether 02:01:02:03:04:08
ifconfig eth0 up

This is only a temporary change and will not be preserved over reboots. After the MAC is changed in this way and when the system is restarted, the default address stored in the network card will be back. Used to hide the MAC address or to do Address spoofing...
