Testing records and Documents maintained by Testing Team

Hi to all
i need a small help from you can any one guide me to know what are all the records and documents to be maintained while we are undergoing with the project the concern may be a small or big but i need to know what are all the documents or records which are maintained in the testing department only if you give the heading at various stage it is ok i will be getting through net but the real one is i need to know what are ll the documents to be maintained ?
ie. at the starting time first and the initial stage is preparing the Test plan then after like that???

need the answers in top priority plz

Pls find below the doc's need to be maintained while testing

1.Requirements Doc
2.Test plan
3.Test scenarions
4.Testcase doc
5.Testcase report
6.Test summary doc
7.Defect reports
8.mails sent to clients
9.daily status report
10.weekly status report

Pls correct me if i am wrong

but i need some claricications i.e

1.Requirements Doc --what are all the docs will come under to it? can u give any example
2.Test plan -- ok i know
3.Test scenarions -- ok i know
4.Testcase doc -- ok i know
5.Testcase report --can you make me clear
6.Test summary doc --- can you make me clear by providing some examples
7.Defect reports -- i think it is Bug Report
8.mails sent to clients -- ok i understood
9.daily status report -- ok i understood
10.weekly status report -- ok i understood

And one more thing is what is checklist,test metrics,test spreadsheet whee these are use ?

can u or any one guide me plz its very urgent

Hi,

Test metrics means the metrics followed in the testing process.Below are some test metrics

1.Testcase coverage -whether testcases covered all the requirements
2.Testcase efficiency-how many bugs are defected with testcases
3.Defect removal efficiency-how many defects are fixed or resolned
4.Defect density-defects found per lines of code ect..

still there are list of metrics

Check List consists of the list of features and objects to be tested and not to be tested.

5.Testcase report --It contains which testcase passed and failed and skipped and comments
6.Test summary doc --- How many testcases passed and failed and skipped
7.Defect reports -- yes it is bug report
