Re: types of joins in Oracle9i with ex.

The basic defination is "Whenever you are fetching records from more than one table, the condition or link you are providing between tables is known as JOIN". And if you not using any condition or link then it will fetch all the records from the tables in a one to many base relationship, which is nothing but cartesian product. So in order to avoid cartesian product issue generally we go for a JOIN. Now if you are fetching records from a single table by using some other column of the same table then also it comes under a JOIN called Self JOIN.
