Basics of .NET

Hi,

I am new to ASP.NET and wanting to gather as much information as possible before I sit and master the technology.

I would greatly appreciate if anybody could mentor me on where to start and how to go ahead and become profound using ASP.NET

Could you please tell me the basics, from where to start and how should my approach be.

Any help would help me a long way.

PS: Just to know from guys who have mastered this technology - How long did it take you to at least accept the terminology and use them to build applications (I know you must be still learning new additions to the existing framework).

Regards,
Rick.

Re: Basics of .NET

first you must be familiar with html .
then you must learn c# or vb.net.
after that you can begin learning asp.net.
when you understand ado.net or linq which (each of them is a method to contact with database) you can consider your self a junior webdeveloper.
