Insert is Odd, which is not a part of CURSOR syntax.

Even though it is not a part of CURSOR syntax, can't I do an Insert using a cursor ?

Re: which one is odd

Insert clause is odd among the list.
Open, fetch, close are the stages of cursor ,whereas 'Insert' statement declares implicit cursor(for insert) which goes through these three stages.

Adding to it,an Insert Cursor is a database cursor declared with a restricted form of the INSERT statement, designed to perform buffered row insertion in database tables.

The insert cursor simply inserts rows of data; it cannot be used to fetch data.
