oracle 10g

oracle 10g

i was trying to install oracle 10g on my Vista.. it got installed successfully but its not loging on... as in as soon as a enter the username, password and host string.. it shows some processes and the window gets closed... need suggestion as to what to do..

Hi DD,

When ever you install oracle 10g username scott account will lock.
Please try following stpes

Login with administrator
login name: system
pwd: manager
host string: give global name (name which you gave at installed time)
after getting SQL prompt type following things
SQL> alter user scott account unlock;
SQL> connect scott/tiger@hoststring;
Connected
SQL>

then you can access what you want

Hello,

Dont use Windows Vista for Oracle 10g Vista is not so much suitable for oracle.
Choose xp of other unix family OS for oracle...:
