Story Of The Day
story of the day
There once was a bunch of tiny frogs,... Who arranged a running competition. The goal was to reach the top of a very high tower . A big crowd had gathered around the tower to see the race and cheer on the contestants... The race began... Honestly: no one in crowd really believed that the tiny frogs would reach the top of the tower. You heard statements such as: "oh, way too difficult!! they will never make it to the top." or: "not a chance that they will succeed. The tower is too high!" the tiny frogs began collapsing. One by one... ... Except for those who in a fresh tempo were climbing higher and higher... The crowd continued to yell "it is too difficult!!! no one will make it!" more tiny frogs got tired and gave up... ...but one continued higher and higher and higher... This one wouldn't give up! at the end everyone else had given up climbing the tower. Except for the one tiny frog who after a big effort was the only one who reached the top! then all of the other tiny frogs naturally wanted to know how this one frog managed to do it? A contestant asked the tiny frog how the one who succeeded had found the strength to reach the goal? it turned out... That the winner was deaf!!!! The Moral of the Story: never listen to other people's tendencies to be negative or pessimistic... Because they take your most wonderful dreams and wishes away from you. The ones you have in your heart! always think of the power words have. Because everything you hear and read will affect your actions! Therefore: Always Be Positive! and above all: be deaf when people tell you that you can not fulfil your dreams! Always think: I can Do This! Story Of the Day
There was a lion who feared nothing except the crowing of cocks. A chill would go down his spine whenever he heard a cock crowing. One day he confessed his fear to the elephant, who was greatly amused. “How can the crowing of a cock hurt you?” he asked the lion. “Think about it!” Just then a mosquito began circling the elephant’s head, frightening him out of his wits. “If it gets into my ear I’m doomed!” he shrieked, flailing at the insect with his trunk. Now it was the lion’s turn to feel amused. Moral Of The Story: If we could see our fears as others see them we would realise that most of our fears make no sense! Thanks, Riju. |

Frogs in a pit - power of words: A group of frogs were traveling through the woods, and two of them fell into a deep pit. When the other frogs saw how deep the pit was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead. The two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pitwith all their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop, that they were as good as dead. Finally, one of the frogs took heed to what the other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down and died. The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again, the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die. He jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the other frogs said, "did you not hear us?" the frog explained to them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the entire time. Moral Of The Story: 1)There is power of life and death in the tongue. An encouraging word to someone who is down can lift them up and help them make it through the day. 2)A destructive word to someone who is down can be what it takes to kill them. So Guys........... Be careful of what you say. Speak life to those who cross your path. The power of words... It is sometimes hard to understand that an encouraging word can go such a long way. Anyone can speak words that tend to rob another of the spirit to continue in difficult times. Special is the individual who will take the time to encourage another. Thanks, Riju. The Dog and the Oyster A dog, used to eating eggs, saw an oyster and, opening his mouth to its widest extent, swallowed it down with the utmost relish, supposing it to be an egg. Soon afterwards suffering great pain in his stomach, he said, "i deserve all this torment, for my folly in thinking that everything round must be an egg." Moral Of The Story: They who act without sufficient thought, will often fall into unsuspected danger. Thanks, Riju. Last edited by rijus; 06-28-2009 at 12:10 PM. |

An arab while crossing a desert came across a huge rock half buried in the sand. Scrawled on the boulder was this inscription: Turn me over and you will benefit from it the arab felt sure there was a great treasure hidden beneath it and worked mightily to turn it over. He succeeded after several hours. But there was no treasure there, only an inscription on the underside of the rock. Moral Of The Story: Greed is the root of all evil .Remember this and you will be a better man. Thanks & regards, Riju. Last edited by rijus; 06-29-2009 at 11:47 AM. |

A shop is always brightly lit up. Someone asked : “What brand of bulb are you using ? It is so lasting.” The shop owner replied : “Our bulbs blew out frequently. We replaced them once a bulb blew out.” Moral of the story: 1. It is simple to maintain brightness , change the bulbs regularly. 2. To brightening up everyday life : Endeavour to abandon unwholesome states of mind and make an effort to encourage wholesome states to grow. Thanks & Regards, Riju. |

A son and his father were walking in the mountains. Suddenly, his son falls, hurts himself and screams: "aaahhhhhhhhhhh!!!" to his surprise, hears the voice repeating, somewhere in the mountain: "aaahhhhhhhhhhh!!!" curious, he yells: "who are you?" he receives the answer: "who are you?" angered at the response, he screams: "coward!" he receives the answer: "coward!" He looks to his father and asks: "what's going on?" the father smiles and says: "my son, pay attention." and then he screams to the mountain: "i admire you!" the voice answers: "i admire you!" again the man screams: "you are a champion!" the voice answers: "you are a champion!" the boy is surprised, but does not understand. Then the father explains: "people call this echo, but really this is life. It gives you back everything you say or do. Our life is simply a reflection of our actions. Moral of the story If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart. If you want more competence in your team, improve your competence. This relationship applies to everything,in all aspects of life; Life will give you back everything you have given to it." Regards, Riju. Last edited by rijus; 07-05-2009 at 11:39 AM. |
