implementing a simple database

just wondering:
- How long would it take to implement a simple data base into mysql?
- How long would it take to get data from an existing system to a new system?
- what are some security stategies that can be employed to protect the databse?
- What user training will be needed?

It is a simple databse with only 6 fields and has been active for 7 years. cheers

should not take a lot of time, it again depends on the number of rows at the source u r looking at
