Hi,
How necessary is it to know the programming language of application when you are testing the application?

Will you please tell me what application you are testing. Normally when a tester knows to write program will be added advantage in the industry.

Hi there,

If you are doing a blcak-bow testing, you do not need to know the programming language because you are only deal with inputs & outputs.
On the other hand, if you are doing a white-bow or grey-bow testing, it is better to know the programming language that you are testing because you are in the code then...

Indeed, it is up to your testing style...
