King and Coin

My hobby is to collect old antiques, especially coins. I gave an advertisement that I would pay 1 Lakh if any one gives me King XYZ period coins which I was looking badly. One day a person came to me and showed his collections. Infact he had King XYZ period coins also. I was very happy and analyzed the coin. It had the emblem of the king in the front side and when I fliped it and saw the other side it said King XYZ, the great - 5 B.C.
I got irritated and asked him to go. How did I find that the coins are fake?

Hi Suresh,

I think you got the answer. Good job.

Lets see whether others are able to find it?

Btw I was a silent spectator of this forum and you seem to be a master of solving the puzzles. Congrats and keep it up.

Regards!

Re: King and Coin

BC means the number of years before the birth of Jesus Christ.
We started using BC and AD only after the birth of Christ... So, the coins used before the birth of Jesus Christ will not have BC...
This is how you found that the coin was not original....

Am I correct??

Cheers,
Sharmeee
